Research interests of Hagen Hoemann

My main interest is the application of thermochronology in conjunction with tectonic and sedimentological evidence to entangle the regional evolution of the earth’s crust. I strive to improve on state of the art (U-Th)/He-thermochronometry, expand it to a wider variety of minerals, and to apply these improvements to reconstruct the Proterozoic to Phanerozoic upper crustal evolution of the northern Kaapvaal Craton.

Further interests of mine are computer programming and modelling, raman microscopy, and the geological evolution of Central Europe.
