Experimental and theoretical petrology. I use mainly high-pressure experimental methods to conduct experiments at conditions of the upper mantle. The experimental results are combined with thermodynamic calculations to determine the conditions of formation of mantle xenoliths or the equation of state of rock-forming minerals. more
