Mineralogical Society of America (MSA) Distinguished Lecturer - GMG Institut at the Ruhr Universitaet Bochum produces two in a row!!
Dr. Hans-Peter Schertl has been nominated a MSA distinguished Lecturer for 2012 - 2013. Congratulations to Dr. Schertl !!
Dr. Schertl immediately follows Prof. Chakraborty from the Institute, who is a current MSA distinguished lecturer for the period 2011 - 2012. MSA gives out three such lecturerships every year, one of which goes to an European scientist. The scientist is responsible for giving lectures describing modern research in Petrology and Mineralogy in several Universities and Colleges in the USA, and other parts of the world(Europe and Australia, so far) over the course of the year. The expenses are paid by MSA.
